Visit us at Athens holiday street festival sponsored by Athens Cultural Center. The event kicks off at 1P at the Athens Cultural Center and ends at 5P with a tree lighting and caroling in the Athens Riverfront Park with the gorgeous backdrop of the Hudson-Athens Lighthouse.

Beaming Reflections: A Tribute to 150 Years of Light
A Cinematic Tribute to 150 Years of Light. Come join us for wine and cheese as we screen the Hudson-Athens Lighthouse featured in the film, “Seven Sentinels” created by the Hudson River Maritime Museum including a talk about the restoration of the Hudson-Athens Lighthouse. Free admission for friends and supporters of the Hudson-Athens Lighthouse.

Hudson Festival Orchestra
Join us at the Henry Hudson Riverfront Park for this free community orchestra. The sesquicentennial birthday of the Hudson-Athens Lighthouse will be commemorated by Miro Marsik’s classical composition “The Lighthouse” paired with a gorgeous drone video of the lighthouse courtesy of Glenn Wheeler.

Hudson Flag Day
Come join the fun and march with the volunteers of the Hudson-Athens Lighthouse as they showcase the float of the Hudson-Athens Lighthouse during the Hudson Flag Day Parade. The parade is followed by a community fair, music and fireworks at the Henry Hudson Riverfront Park with the majestic backdrop of the lighthouse ever present.
Athens Community Day
The Hudson-Athens Lighthouse will be providing free tours to the lighthouse at 10A, 11A and 12P. There are limited spaces on each of the trips, so come early to sign up and save your spot! We will also have a table so come and say hello to learn more about the lighthouse and its preservation.
Boat Parade: Celebrating 150th Years of HAL
A flotilla of boats sailing on the Hudson River between Hudson and Athens Riverfront Parks. This event is in partnership with the US Coast Guard, Hudson Power Boat Association, the Coxsackie Yacht Club, the Mohawk Council of Yacht Clubs, Schooner Apollonia and more.

Hudson Children’s Book Festival
